This is the second time I used this agency. First time for 2 weeks trip in Chile and this time for a week trip in Colombia, Cartagena, Santa Marta& Tayrona. I definitely plan on continuing to use their services. The staff is amazing, great communication at all times and all the guides went above and beyond. Reliable, great agency with personalized tours based on your needs.

The company's service and availability was excellent. Help with problems and solutions was excellent, they didn't leave until the problem was solved. Personal accompaniment. The guide was a bit strict and treated us as if we were children and this was on a general trip.

Valentina did a terrific job in coordinating our travel to the Quito, the Galapagos, Cusco, Machu Pichu, and Tambopata. She was very attentive and was avaiable to answer questions we had. Accommodations were comfortable and situated in good locations, although one was not within walking distance of restaurants. The transfers were seamless and local guides very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our tour coordinator Valentina did a great job coordinating our trip to the Galapagos, Machu Pichu and the Amazon. The daily events and tours were informative and fun. The tour guides were exceptional especially the one we had in Machu Pichu. Love the accommodations especially in Santa Cruz and the Amazon. The tour company tailored the experiences to meet our needs. We wanted to snorkel a lot in the Galapagos and they made sure we did! Would definitely use them again!

We had an excellent manager. Valentina did a great job coordinating and attending to our needs in our Ecuador ( Quito and Galapagos) and Perú ( Cusco, Machu Pichu and Amazon) adventure. All of the local tour guides were excellent too!!

From start to finish Responsible travel was amazing. Alvaro and Jeferson planned a perfect trip to the Galápagos Islands for me and my family. The communication was fantastic during the planning of the trip. Once the trip started, our hand was held on each step/transfer. It made the whole vacation so easy. On top of it, Jeferson checked in on us via WhatsApp almost everyday. The customer service was top notch. If you want to plan a fantastic trip to Ecuador or the Galapagos, definitely ask for Alvaro and Jeferson. Trip of a lifetime! Thank you again!

Alvaro and his team were amazing in the planning process. He went back forth countless times with me and my family changing the itinerary until we were fully satisfied. He favored in every part of our needs throughout and made sure we were happy with the final plan. Once we started , I was worried we would be left hung to dry. But no. That’s where Jose took over and saw through day by day needs while we were here. We had a last minute change , and Jose quickly made that happen. I know we might have paid more through the travel team as opposed to if I had done it on my own, but the extra cost was a peace of mind knowing someone is here to help when needed

An Unforgettable Experience in Ecuador & the Galápagos Our vacation in Ecuador and the Galápagos was absolutely amazing. We completely fell in love with the country, its people, and especially the incredible animals of the Galápagos—everything was far beyond our expectations. We were lucky to have such wonderful guides. Francesco was much more than a guide; he truly wanted us to experience the real Ecuador. He introduced us to local food, took us to buy fresh fruits, and shared so many typical Ecuadorian dishes. By the end of the trip, he felt like a true friend. In the jungle, Miquel was an excellent guide. We give him huge credit for learning English by himself—his effort and dedication were impressive, and he made our time in the jungle even more special. We also really enjoyed spending time with Dave. His deep knowledge about Ecuador amazed us, and the hike (climbing) near Cotopaxi was, without a doubt, one of the best attractions of the entire trip. Cecilia was wonderful as well. She took great care of us during our transfers from the jungle to Quito and beyond, always making sure everything went smoothly. The Galápagos Islands were simply breathtaking. Seeing the animals up close was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and even more incredible than we had imagined. This trip gave us memories we will never forget. Ecuador and the Galápagos stole our hearts, and we cannot recommend this experience enough. The trip to North Seymour in the Galápagos was the best experience of our lives—seeing the wildlife so close was unforgettable.”

Maria at Responsible Travel was recommended by relatives who had recently visited Ecuador. She helped us book a trip that included a Galapagos cruise, Quito stay and tour, and Amazon Lodge. She was very patient and helpful as we evaluated various options, and incredibly responsive throughout. When we had a couple of glitches during the trip, she was right on top of it, including retrieving a wallet and some jewelry our daughter forgot on the cruise ship and having it delivered to us in Quito before we returned home. All the guides, the cruise ship and the lodge were great. Would 110% recommend.

I had the best time on my trip in the Amazon and it’s all thanks to Jeferson, from Responsible Travel. He was so incredibly helpful, polite and friendly and made booking the trip so easy to do. He really helped me get the most out of my experience. If you’re thinking of going, do it, you truly won’t regret it. And hands down Nicky lodge in the Cuyabeno reserve is the best!

We recently took a trip to Ecuador and Peru, which included Galapagos, Machu Pichu and the Amazon. The organization of this company was phenomenal. Alvaro helped us plan the most amazing trip and was very quick with responses and replying to all questions within a day! We also had constant communication with Jose throughout the entire trip. He was always checking in and making sure everything was going well or if we had any concerns! They were both very attentive throughout the entire process! We had many internal flights and we always had a driver and/or guide waiting for us the second we came out of the airport and for every planned activity. We never had time to guess where we had to go next or where we needed to go, everything was laid out for us flawlessly. We commented on how smooth everything went multiple times throughout our trip! We loved all of our guides and drivers! All of our internal flights were taken care of and our tickets/boarding passes were sent to us well in advance. The itinerary was jam packed and busy, not a lot of downtime but it was a great trip! I would recommend this company to anyone and I would definitely use them again for future trips!

I booked a trip to Galapagos with Jose. We stayed 5 nights in finch bay hotel and booked daily activities around. Jose was extremely responsive 24/7. The activities were very well organized and a fit. Everything worked out. From arrival at the airport until departure. My rating is „only“ 4 stars since the price maybe indicates an even more personalized, maybe more exclusive trip - in comparison to destinations outside Galapagos.

My thanks to Riwal for organising and overseeing a wonderful, stress-free trip. Riwal’s patience and prompt responses during the planning stages were greatly appreciated. The reassurance of knowing Riwal was always accessible via WhatsApp whilst we were travelling provided invaluable support throughout our journey. His communication was consistently excellent, keeping in touch with us daily to ensure we were well prepared for the day ahead. In addition to Riwal’s guidance, the local agents responsible for organising our daily tours and drivers were outstanding. They kept us informed in a timely manner and regularly followed up to check on how our days unfolded. These efforts contributed significantly to the smooth running of our trip. All the places we visited were well worth the experience and enriched by invaluable conversations with experienced and knowledgeable guides. Our guides made the trip special; we learnt heaps, their local knowledge was exceptional as was the manner they engaged with us. Overall, our accommodation and service couldn’t be faulted, especially in San Pedro, Santiago and Puerto Natales. The tour enabled us to successfully travel through jaw dropping landscapes, experience the fullness of Chile and engage with interesting people. It was a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Direkten Kontakt mit Responsible Travel hatte ich zwar nicht, da die Buchung selbst über ein österreichischen Veranstalter erfolgt ist. Gebucht war dabei eine achttägige Fahrt von Guayaquil nach Quito als Anschlussprogramm zu einer Tauchsafari um Galapagos. Zu dieser Fahrt kann ich über Responsible Travel und im speziellen unseren lokalen Guide Danny Ayala, sowie unseren Chauffeur Mr. Wilson, nur das Beste berichten. Nicht nur die Pünktlichkeit in der Früh der einzelnen Reisetage war bemerkenswert. Auch die Versorgung mit allen Informationen und Details der einzelnen Reisestationen war überzeugend. Egal ob es Informationen zu Gebäude, Tieren, oder die einzelnen Vulkane waren. Danny hatte immer alle Informationen abrufbereit im Kopf. Manchmal sogar mehr als wir uns merken konnten. Positiv erwähnen muss ich im Detail aber auch unsere Fahrer Mr. Wilson. Dieser hat uns vor allen Dingen mit seinem sichern Fahrstil, sowie mit einem allzeit sauberen Fahrzeug überzeugt. Und er musste es nicht nur einmal an den Abenden vom Staub der Schotterpisten reinigen. Nochmals positiv zu erwähnen ist Danny, der uns für den letzten Tag eine kleine Änderung der eigentlich perfekten Reiseroute vorgeschlagen hat, um doch noch Kondore sehen zu können. Davon haben wir zuvor nämlich leider nur einen einzigen auf große Distanz und auch nur sehr kurz gesehen. Dany hat nach unserem Ok zu diesem Änderungsvorschlag mit Gabi diese Änderung und alle dazu gehörenden Details abgeklärt. Und der Vorschlag von Danny war dann auch noch ein Volltreffer. Wir hatten an unserem letzten Reisetag bis zu 8 Kondore gleichzeitig am Himmel. Für mich war diese Rundreise in der Kombination Responsible Travel, Gabi, Danny Alaya und Mr. Wilson jedenfalls eine perfekte Kombination mit unvergesslichen Erlebnissen. Aber genug des Lobes. Denn schön langsam sollte ich mich wieder mit den etwa 3700 Fotos und 200 Videos dieser Reise beschäftigen.

After several months searching for a reputable tour agency in Ecuador I was lucky to have found Responsible Travel Ecuador. This agency was by far everything I could have asked for and more! My experience with this agency started with Anthony. I told him everything I was looking forward to doing in Ecuador and within days he came back with an amazing intininary. What I liked was that they were all private tours where I can go at my own pace. That was one thing I really liked about this agency. Another thing I really liked was how Anthony pushed me to go out of my comfort zone and visit Cuyabeno. I doubted him like I haven't doubted anyone ever in my life. He assured me it would be the best part of my visit and it was. When Anthony left, Karem took over seemlessly. The communication between the two was obviously there because Karen knew my dietary needs and requests. Everything I discussed with Anthony, Karem already knew. Both Anthony and Karem we're quick and through in answering my questions and my doubts day or night. I never felt alone at any point in this planning process or during my trip. Someone's always there to watch out after you. The hotels they chose were beautiful and extremely comfortable. The area in which the hotels were located were safe and there was a lot nearby to do. The day I was flying to Quito I found out there were a lot of landslides and we had to take an alternative route to the Amazon rainforest and back to Quito. This would have caused me to miss my flight. I contacted Karem and told her my concerns. She worked very hard to switch my intininary and within 20 minutes came back with a new plan. Karem took time out of her busy schedule to come to my hotel the morning I landed to meet me and talk with me. This really helped me relax more. I am amazed at how personalized they made this trip and what a great job they did! The attention to detail is impeccable! The driver and guide, Francisco, was absolutely wonderful and welcoming as well. His English was amazing! We enjoyed numerous laughs throughout this whole trip! The food and the people in Ecuador and the country in itself are absolutely amazing! I could not have asked for anything more! I will definitely be returning for sure. I have not stopped thinking about Ecuador since I left and what a blessing this agency has been.

Responsible Travel Ecuador handled my initial enquiry, arranged a very competitive quote for my family (9 members) to travel a land-based tour of the Galapagos. Alvaro dealt with our initial queries and Diego made all of the day to day arrangements. They booked our flights from Quito to and from the Galapagos and arranged all of the accommodation, island transfers and day tours for the 11 days of our holiday. There were numerous steps each day from transfers from hotels to boats and the arrangements for the guides. All of these complex arrangements went smoothly, the guides were extraordinarily helpful and several mention how much they appreciated working with Responsible Travel. All of the day tours from the snorkelling, to the Island walks to the mountain walks were fascinating and the guides helped all members of my family gt to most out of each activity. Diego made sure the hotels and guides knew 7 of us were vegetarians and one had a severe allergy problem; as a consequence we had no problems and enjoyed the food on every trip. The itinerary was arranged so that we would see a wide range of Galapagos animals up close and we swam with sea lions, sea turtles and penguins. We were given the history of the islands and the geology of the volcanoes was explained expertly. Diego from Responsible Travel followed our progress daily, to make sure all was progressing as planned. We had a a great time and are very grateful for all the thought, planning and supervision that Responsible Travel undertook to make our tour such a happy experience.

What can you say, Responsible travel made our adventure to Ecuador in the Galapagos simply outstanding. From every little detail, Cynthia took care of us and the entire team coordinated a memorable event for me and my family. All of the daily adventures were highly coordinated with extensive attention to the customers needs. Everything was taken care of in every detail. The arrangements were done seamlessly from our home country (Canada) and our guide Mateo punctual, knowledgeable and helpful throughout our trip that involved cities, highland, Amazon, as well as Cotopaxi and Quilatoa hikes. We wanted to support a local Ecuadorian business and they also provided more value than other companies we contacted.

Took a chance and booked with local company Responsible Travel as major tour operators did not have dates that suited. Absolutely flawless trip and fantastic communication throughout from Diego and Rita 😍 Saw so much wildlife - sharks sea turtles tortoises iguanas snakes and all types of birds and fishes. Can’t fault anything at all. The Galápagos Islands are stunning and Isabella was my favourite. So happy I visited and would recommend this trip and your company 100% 🥰

Warm welcome by the team when we arrived in Ecuador! Well planned and thought out itinerary which gave us as first time visitors to the country a good feel for the culture, traditions and history. We loved the trip!

We visited Ecuador in April 2025 on a family vacation with another family, and were so thrilled that we planned our trip with and through Responsible Travel Ecuador! With a group of four adults and five kids ages 7-15, it was important for us to have a fun adventure with a good mix of learning history, cultural immersion, and memorable fun. The team from Responsible Travel Ecuador delivered and exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide David was knowledgeable and flexible, and the office team (Ana, Diego, and Alejandra) worked behind the scenes to make sure our time was well-scheduled and seamlessly adjusted when weather did not cooperate or a new idea sprung up. The 8-day agenda was thoughtfully created to give us a taste of Ecuador's diverse geography, magical nature, delicious cuisine, and beautiful people! Accommodations were conveniently located and offered breathtaking views, and the entire team was very communicative before the trip and during our time in Ecuador. Responsible Travel Ecuador played a huge role in us falling in love with Ecuador and we can't wait to return! Until we do, we are telling our social circles to book quickly. 🙂

Wir hatten eine Ecuador – Galapagos – Machu Picchu Reise angedacht. Schon bei der Planung hat uns Gabi tatkräftig unterstützt, mit wertvollen Ratschlägen die Reise optimiert ist aber auch immer auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Die Reise selbst war perfekt organisiert, wir wurden immer wie gebucht abgeholt oder erwartet und auch die einzelnen Guides oder Fahrer waren via Whats App mit uns Kontakt getreten, sodass wir bei Fragen immer eine Ansprechperson hatten. Auch Gabi konnten wir während der Reise immer kontaktieren, und erhielten immer umgehend Antwort. Die Hotels waren sehr unterschiedlich, dies ist aber sicherlich auch der Örtlichkeit (3 Nächte im Dschungel versus Cityhotel in Quito) geschuldet grundsätzlich waren alle Hotels sauber und qualitativ hochwertig. Einzig das Sheraton in Lima war etwas in die Zeit gekommen, der Service und die Ausstattung nicht mehr einem 5 Sterne Hotel entsprechend. Von der Lage her gibt es aber auch nicht wirklich eine Alternative (wir hatten bewusst nicht Miraflores gewählt). Die Reiseunterlagen mit der Beschreibung der Programmpunkte der einzelnen Tage ist teils etwas blumig ausformuliert, zb. Anzahl der möglichen Papageiensichtungen im Dschungel wurde mit bis zu elf Arten angegeben, wir hatten genau 1 Papagei gesehen. Uns ist klar, dass man keine Tiersichtungen garantieren kann, aber die Erwartung wird bei der Beschreibung unnötig gesteigert. Im Endeffekt sieht man was man sieht, die Natur kann man nicht beeinflussen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder über Resposible Travel buchen, die Beratung und Umsetzung sind ausgezeichnet und auch Kontaktpersonen bei den Hotels oder auch die Fahrer sind sehr gut ausgewählt. Wir konnten all unsere Wünsche umsetzen und hatten einen tollen Mehrwert durch die Hilfe und Unterstützung von Gabi. Hierfür auch nochmals ein großs Dankeschön.

Excellent service by Riwal. I would highly recommend requesting him! We did a 3 week trip of Easter island, Atacama Desert and Bird watching in Paraguay. The pace of the trip was relaxed and covered everything there was to see. There was also free time to relax. Riwal was very accommodating with all of my requests and was always available and responded promptly on WhatsApp. We requested interacting with Local Guarani people and I recommend this be a mandatory activity in Paraguay. It is the only way to see and understand the real situation of the indigenous.

I recently completed the14-day tour to the Andes, Amazon, and Galapagos and overall, had a positive experience. The guides and drivers were excellent – knowledgeable, punctual, and proficient in English. My travel agent, Ronni Morreira, located in Quito, was also exceptional, providing prompt support and assistance via WhatsApp and email throughout the trip. Rita, who took over in person in Galapagos, provided also excellent support. I do have a few suggestions for an even better experience. Firstly, I recommend requesting detailed information about every accommodation throughout the trip. Quality standards varied considerably, and clear expectations would allow to request changes or adjust expectations accordingly. For example, I would advise against staying at Yellow House in Quito. Secondly, the activity descriptions on the website were sometimes inconsistent regarding what was included in the tour versus what was meant for independent exploration. The description for Baños was particularly misleading. I strongly recommend to inquire about each itinerary item. Lastly, I'd like to address a final concern regarding the itinerary for the arrival day in Santa Cruz. The scheduled and prepaid activities for the arrival afternoon were not carried out. I had intentionally booked an early flight to participate, but upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the remainder of the day was designated as free time. While Rita and Ronni were helpful in resolving the issue, this was an unnecessary inconvenience. I urge revising the itinerary to explicitly state that the arrival day is free for independent activities, rather than listing included options. Given the limited time in the Galapagos, losing a day due to a misunderstanding would have been particularly frustrating, especially as I believed I had paid for included activities for that day
